The following announcement was printed in the Juneau Telephone on 13 October 1893
--Through the dilatory movements of Uncle Sam, we are just in receipt of a card announcing the marriage of Mr. A. F. Fickert and Miss Eudoxie Husting; an event which took place at the home of the bride's parents, on Tuesday, Sept. 26th. The groom will be recognized as a former well known resident of Juneau and only son of ex sheriff Fickert. The "TELEPHONE" assures the young couple that they have the hearty wishes of Addie's many warm friends in this vicinity for their future welfare.2

Adolph Fickert died on 11 August 1900 at Theresa at age 34.3

Adolf Fickert's obituary was printed in the Juneau Telephone on 19 Aug 1910:
FICKERT- Mr. Adolf Fickert, son of a former sheriff of this country, died at his home in Theresa, Friday, August 11, 1910. Deceased was born at Theresa on April 18, 1866, and was therefore at the time of his death 44 years, 3 months and 21 days old. In 1893, he married Eudoxie Husting in Theresa, who with three children, Sylvia, Alice and Estelle, survive to mourn the death of a good husband and father. Deceased graduated in 1891 from a veterinary school at Chicago and came to Theresa where he opened a practice, and conducted a drug store in connection. He was a most highly respected citizen and was like by who had business dealings with him. His funeral took place Thursday, Aug. 11, at Theresa.2
