The grim reaper has called another of the old pioneers of this section of Wisconsin in the person of Mr. Jacob Engelhart, who died at the family home in route 6 Saturday night. He had been suffering from stomach ailments and was confined to his home for about three weeks. His condition became alarming to his relatives Saturday and death ensued a few hours later.
Mr. Engelhart was born in the town on Clyman July 22, 1846, and in 1867 moved onto a farm in the town of Milford where he has since resided. He was a well known figure in Watertown where he did his trading and was widely known all over the section where he resided for so many years. He was one of the pioneer residents of that section and was always looked upon by his neighbors as a man of worth and integrity. Deceased was born in the town of Clyman July 22, 1846, and in 1867 located on a farm in Milford, where he resided to the time of his death. His wife and seven children survive him. He was a member of St. Henry's Mutual Benefit society and of Branch 120, Catholic Knights of Wisconsin, both of which societies attended his funeral in a body on Tuesday morning at St. henry's Catholic Church.
