It's now Leona Chesemore
     Early in the morning of October 9, I went to Watertown to see Leona married to Mr. George William Chesemore of Madison.
     Our "Girl Friday" was a radiant bride in a winter white suit with a matching hat and charcoal gray accessories. She carried a prayer book topped with a corsage of orchids.
     Leona and Bill will be at home to friends in their brand new house at 4910 Schofield Street in Madison by Christmas time.
     It is the good fortune of the Auxiliary to have Leona continue with her duties at the State Medical Society office. I know all of her many friends in the Auxiliary join in wishing her much happiness.

     Leona Kellerman Is Married Today to Geo. Chesemore
     At a nuptial mass in St. Henry's Catholic Church this morning at 9 o'clock, vows were exchanged by Leona Kellerman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kellerman, 2001/2 North Third Street, and George W. Chesemore, son of Mr. and Mrs.Charles W. Chesemore, 2743 East Johnson Street, Madison. The Rev. Anthony Herrmann officiated at the ceremony. Altar boys were John and Joseph Kellerman, nephews of the bride.
     The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a winter white suit with mink collar and charcoal grey accessories. Her hat was of winter white and she carried a prayer book arrangement of orchids.
     The bride's only attendant was her niece, Mary Kellerman, who was attired in a winter white suit with navy accessories and a matching hat. She carried a nosegay of pink and white roses.
     Best man was Dana Kellerman, nephew of the bride. Ushers were Donald Harless and Joseph P. Gervasi, both of Madison.
     Mr. Chesemore, who graduated from the University of Wisconsin, is employed as a sales representative for the Zenith Home Appliance, Madison. His bride is office manager for the State Medical Society, Madison, and also serves as staff secretary to the Woman's Auxiliary to the society.5 He an unknown place Sergeant and Deputy Sheriff at Madison.1

George Wilfred "Bill" Chesemore died on 21 December 1989 at Madison Hospital, Madison, at age 72.1,2

George Wilfred "Bill" Chesemore was buried at St. Henry's Catholic Cemetery on 26 December 1989 at Watertown, Dodge County, Wisconsin.1

George W. Chesemore
     George Wilfred Chesemore died on Thursday, Dec. 21, 1989, in the Richland Center Hospital.
     George Chesemore was born on Jan. 2, 1917, in Richland Center, but came to Madison as a young boy. He graduated from the University-Madison. He married the former Leona Kellerman on Oct. 9, 1954, in Watertown. Mr. Chesemore was a sergent with the Dane County Sheriff's Department, where he worked for 25 years until his retirement.
     Survivors include his wife, Leona; a brother Russell Chesemore of Hillsboro, Oregon; and a sister, Mrs. Lyle (Ruth) Fish of Forest Grove, Oregon; two aunts, Mrs. Charlotte Chesemore of Escondido, Calif., and Mrs. Mattie Chesemore Schuckhart of Richland Center; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
     Those from Richland Center attending the funeral were Mrs. Mattie Schuckhart, Kenneth Beatty, Shirley Beckwith, and Patricia Clark.
     Funeral services were held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 5101 Schofield Street, at 1 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 24, 1989. Father James Murphy officiated. Burial was Tues., Dec. 26, at St. Henry's Catholic Cemetery, Watertown.1
