Vows Exchanged By Barbara Werth And Gerald Nimm
Nuptial vows were exchanged Saturday morning in St. Henry's Catholic Church by Miss Barbara Werth. 817 East Main Street, and Gerald Nimm, son of Mrs. Joseph Nimm, route 6. Officiating at the 9 o'clock ceremony was the Rev. Anthony J Herrmann.
The soloist was Mrs. Robert Nimm, who sang, "Ava Maria" and "On This Day." Organist was Mrs. John G. Bardisse. Bouquets of yellow and white gladiolus decorated the altar.
As the bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Gust Werth, she was seen in a gown of nylon imported lace en train, fashioned with a Queen Ann collar. Tiny nylon net ruffles detailed the front of the gown. A fingertip veil trimmed with lace was caught to a headdress of rhinestones and pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of red roses and white snowdrift.
Miss. Eileen Meitner as maid of honor wore a laurel green gown of lace and nylon net detailed with pleating. Matching pleating was folded across the strapless bodice. She wore a jacket of lace with a mandarin collar. White mums were in her cascade bouquet. Bridesmaids were Miss Hazel Krause and Mrs. Gust Anton who wore gowns of fuschia, styled like the maid of honor's. They carried cascade bouquets of yellow mums. The young women wore headbands matching their gowns.
Best man was Donald Nimm, brother of the groom, while groomsmen were Neal McCraig and Gust Anton. Users were Dick and Jerry David, cousins of the groom.
Fifty guests attended the dinner at noon at the Green Bowl. A 6 o'clock buffet supper was served at the brides home and was followed by a dance at Turner Hall.
