Veteran Of First World War Dies At Hospital Wood; Rites Planned
     Paul G. Weber, 54, a member of an early Fond du Lac family, and a veteran of the first World war, died at 11:30 p. m. Monday at Veterans' Administration hospital at Wood, after an extended illness.
     Serving with an engineering unit overseas Mr. Weber was gassed in 1918 and never fully recovered.
     A son of William and Mathilda Weber, he was born Oct. 11, 1890. He was graduated from St. Mary's church parochial school and from the high school here. He was employed as a brakeman for the North Western railroad before entering military service and had also been engaged as a gas serviceman for the Wisconsin Power and Light company.
     Mr. Weber was a member of Fond du Lac council Knights of Columbus and of the American Legion post.
     Surviving Mr. Weber, the first of 11 children born to Mr. and Mrs. Weber to expire, are Amelia, Maria and Mrs. Leo Dana of this city, Eleanor of Chicaog, Leo of this city, Carl and Norbert of Chicago, Raymond and Florian of Milwaukee and William E. Weber of Waukesha
     The body of Mr. Weber will lie in state at the Zchery funeral home after noon on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held there at 8:30 a. m. Thursday and at 9 a. m. at St. Mary's church. Burial will be in Calvary cemetary.11
